My soul is dark and bleak. I don’t know what is wrong with me or what series of events has lead me down this path but it drives me to like really dark shows/movies. Black Mirror is one of my favorite and I was stoked for the interactive one that released today, Dec 28.
I will admit, I was a bit skeptical of an interactive Black Mirror, but I was still hopeful. I was 100% wrong.

Someone put me in to it. I watched the first episode and a half and just couldn’t anymore. I’m just not in a place where I can do dark without a happy ending right now.

Haven’t watched the new one yet, but I've seen all the old ones. Some I love, some I don't. So no expectations here.

I love most episodes too. This gives suttle nods and references to S an J unipero / MetalHead. But overall this ‘series’ completely disappoints. Probably due to it being so short. Sure there are different paths you can explore but what I loved about Black Mirror’s other seasons is the multiple episodes and ideas.

i tend to avoid the dark dark stuff.....puts me back in a dark dark place

It was an interesting concept , and did make my heart pound at times (the balcony), and made me laugh when it all went off the rails. Not as good as most of the past episodes, but I still enjoyed it enough to not feel it was a waste of my time.
The best part for me was realizing that we (the viewer) wanted him to finish the game more than what was best for his mental state.

That’s fair, it was good if you remove the Black Mirror name. I just really enjoy the mini series they put together.

Ha, true . Now that I think about it, the one path I chose where he doesn’t even make it to the game part was the best ending to me, but definitely the most morbid.

I did enjoy this, but it was more of an enforcement of what I discovered. I’m glad I have found all the choices. It did make me feel bad about my favorite one. I didn’t catch some of the easter eggs, but damn I love when they give something that much attention to detail.
It’s hard for me to dislike when they put that much attention to detail in it, but I still feel unsatisfied. I rather 6 mini episodes.

I’m bummed we didn’t go back to see the “meta” ending on the set!
I probably agree with you on preferring more episodes to one huge opus work. Looking for more to come.
